A world where educating means letting their own special light shine out
Our end purpose: uncover a world of experiences in learning and play in future generations that innately encourages all their potential. An enriching journey into the future where learning and creativity flow with energy in a unique way.
We are here to awaken and encourage the best in you as teachers and educators – a journey on which to create moments that mean something through creativity, learning and fun.
Multiple Intelligences
Inspired by Gardner's theory of multiple intelligences, according to which intelligence in children is not a single, static quality, at Miniland we believe that empowering twenty-first-century skills with multiple play experiences will encourage the formation of communities of educators and children inspired by active collaboration, collective creativity and continual learning.
Playing in a multiple way
We want children to experiment with the world from multiple perspectives, using a learning-by-doing, hands-on approach. We see them as the story players, the tiny grand creators of stories based on multiple developmental intelligences.
8 types of intelligences
Body & Movement
The kinesthetic intelligence Is the ability to use the body to express feelings and ideas, as well as the ability to produce or transform things with your hands. It is the intelligence that both athletes and dancers have, as well as artists, mechanics and surgeons.
Emotional Journey
Capability of individuals to recognize their own emotions and those of others, discern between different feelings and label them appropriately, use emotional information to guide thinking and behavior, and manage and/or adjust emotions to adapt to environments or achieve one’s goals.
Exploring Nature
Naturalist intelligence fosters curiousity about living things and the planet. Some topics that might be interesting to the naturalistically intelligent kids are plants, animals, weather, oceans, and mountains.
Logical Thinking & Math
Logical-mathematical intelligence consists of the capacity to carry out mathematical operations, analyse problems logically, and investigate issues scientifically - it involves the ability to detect patterns, reason deductively and think logically.
Rythm & Melodies
Musical intelligence is dedicated to how skillful kids are performing, composing, and appreciating music and musical patterns.
Social Engagement
Capacity to know oneself and to know others is an inalienable a part of the human condition. Social intelligence is an aggregated measure of self- and socialawareness, evolved social beliefs and attitudes, and a capacity and appetite to manage complex social change.
Speaking & Listening
Linguistic intelligence deals with individuals’ ability to understand both spoken and written language, as well as their ability to speak and write themselves. In a practical sense, linguistic intelligence is the extent to which an individual can use language, both written and verbal, to achieve goals. It can also been linked to improved problem solving, as well as to increased abstract reasoning.
Visual & Spatial Perception
The ability to accurately perceive the visual world and to re-create, manipulate and modify aspects of one’s perceptions. Visual-spatial intelligence deals with shapes, patterns, designs and the entire spectrum of colour - and with the placement and relationship of objects in space, including distance and direction. It includes our capacity to visualise, dream and imagine.
Key points
This motivates educators to work collectively to complement their strengths as a team.
2It reinforces and promotes the work of educators in harmony with the theory of multiple intelligences.
3They enable educators and parents to attain and surpass the different phases of educational development from multiple mental frameworks and detect each child's innate skills and intelligences.
They expose children to new concepts and skills from multiple perspectives, enabling them too to develop their comprehension from multiple angles.
5Our toys, tools and resources encourage education from multiple approaches, challenging young students to learn in a balanced way, evolving beyond current educational standards.
6They promote multiple learning, combining physical and digital play using our Teach&play method.
Teach&play is a pedagogical method that encompasses Miniland's entire digital educational library, providing digital games, activities and educational guides for educators and primary students with the aim of encouraging learning experiences that combine physical and digital play using pedagogical models based on active play and gamification.
1 Teach&play promotes thrilling, multiple and collaborative learning experiences.
2 It favors evolutionary learning and immersion in content through curiosity and experimentation.
3 Teach&play combines physical and digital play, founded on pedagogical models such as “active play”, “game-based learning” and “learning by doing”.
4 Teach&play is teacher-friendly and ready to use, designed by educators for educators, to be applied in the classroom right from the start. Dedicate more time to what is truly important.
